After receiving several complaints from users about the new Windows 7 patch, Microsoft has decided to withdraw it. The software giant received several complaints where users said that after installing the operating system, they were unable to install other software applications on the operating system. The troubles with the update were too problematic that it even blocks the Windows updates.

The Update KB3004394 is the problematic one, which was released last week. Every month, Microsoft releases patches for the operating system with its Patch Tuesday. However, the patches released on last Tuesday turned out to be problematic, causing different troubles to the users.

According to Windows 7 help forums, after the installation of the update, many users complained that they were unable to install software programs that included digital signature in it. The digital signature in the program was aimed at preventing malware intrusions and as an identity for the genuineness of the product. However, the programs that contained such signatures were being prevented from installation after the Tuesday patches were installed.

Two of the major programs that failed to install in the operating system after the patch update were the graphic drivers of AMD and Nvidia. The updates were causing troubles only on Windows 7 operating system and Windows Server 2008 R2. All the other operating systems in which these updates were installed remained unaffected.

After receiving complaints from many users, Microsoft was quick to come up with a solution. The company withdrew the faulty update from its website and in place of that released an emergency patch KB3004394. The new emergency patch was intended to remove the faulty updates from the systems in which they were installed. Users can download this update from the official website of Microsoft.

Now, we have already witnessed similar issues in the past. The company always encountered troubles with the update patches. We have seen many times the company withdrawing updates or replacing it with new ones after receiving numerous complaints from the users. During the last year, Microsoft had to change several updates that were intended for its different software and hardware programs.

After the issues with the latest updates, it seems that some of the users have changed the settings in the program, which install the Windows updates automatically. According to Windows 7 help blogs, it is advisable to wait for a few days after the release of an update so that you could find out whether it is safe to install it on your PC or not.
